So I usually share my boozy creations on a Friday but for the next two days I’ll be enjoying a company wide conference, plus all of our international franchisees and partners.
My work conferences are actually pretty fun. They run through all the new shoes that will be coming out in the next year, our new stores and store designs (my department), a breakdown of sales (the boring part), etc… And while that might not sounds all that fun, in between all that are crazy dance performances with smoke machines, lasers, and marching bands (all while wearing our shoes of course).
Friday night ends with a big fancy dinner at the local country club and best of all, an open bar! I’ve learned that you can’t drive to the dinner, it’s best to Uber yourself there because not only are all your coworkers indulging, your CEO and president are asking you if you want to take shots, need a refill, etc… It really gets quite crazy.
So why not start the craziness on Thursday this week with these spicy grapefruit sparklers. The perfect summery cocktail that is super easy to make. No crazy syrups or multiple spirits. Just a serrano pepper, sparkling grapefruit soda and good ol’ vodka.
Spicy, sweet and bubbly with that adult kick!
- 2 ounces vodka
- 3 slices serrano pepper
- sparkling grapefruit soda
- grapefruit wheels, for garnish
- In a large glass, combine vodka and serrano pepper slices and muddle together.
- Add ice and fill glass with sparkling grapefruit juice.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wheel.
- Yep, it's that easy!
